Proud Auntie.

I'm the proud Auntie of Harry James Mews, Born 5.11.2013 weighing 7lbs 8oz.

I love being an Auntie, its one of the best feelings ever!

My sister is an amazing mum and im so proud of her, he wasn't an easy baby having colic from day one. she's coped amazingly, sometimes I don't know how she does it, he's a very demanding little boy sometime.

When my sister was pregnant I already loved him more then words could explain, its the most bizarre feeling considering all you could see was a belly and the odd kick.
When I first met/held him all this love just came flooding out of me.

I don't know if you can tell by my beaming grin and watery eyes it was one of the best days of my life.
He was this tiny bundle of joy, iv never seen such a more beautiful and content baby, he was perfect, His skin was silky soft and smelt amazing.

I love taking pictures so as you can imagine iv got QUITE a lot, iv selected a few of my favourites for you.
Here is his first few months.

He suddenly grew up and started getting a little personality. He also became a lot more cheeky.
and doing something different every time I saw him.

Now he's even cheekier, he picks up things really easily.
Iv taught him to blow raspberry's , say 'bah bah', he crawls (well drags him self around) If you hold him under his arms he'll do a kind of funny walk he can also hold him self up when standing up against something. He pulls the funniest of faces and is constantly smiling and giggling. Bath time is his favourite thing to do, hes defiantly a water bay. My sisters started giving him proper food to nibble on and he loves it, if were eating he watches us and look as if he wants to have what were having.

I'm so honoured to have being a witness to all this and Ill hopefully be there when he learns even more like walking and talking.

I love him with all my heart.

I hope you don't mind me sharing my gorgeous nephews life so far with you guys, im such a proud auntie and I love talking about him and showing people all the pictures Iv taken of him

Leave a comment I your a proud auntie.

My Nephews Christening: 08.06.2014

I attended my nephews christening this weekend just gone.
I was lucky enough to be asked by my sister to be one of his godmothers too, so not only do I have the privilege of being his auntie, im his godmother as well.
It was held in my sisters local church, there were two other christening on the same day so the church was packed, it was a very beautiful church, the atmosphere was lovely.

I wanted to buy my nephew his outfit for his christening present off me.
Its not a great photo because I couldn't get hold of him for long enough, Everyone wanted a cuddle off him.
Its an ivory casual suite made up of a collarless shirt, soft trousers cuffed at the ankle and a waist coat.
He looked soooooo cute.

We all got seated and the priest started his service, we sang a few songs and then he blessed harry with a holy oil. He loved it and tried grabbing his hand for more!

After some more singing and readings he asked the parents & godparents to make there way over to the font for the main blessing with the holy water and the burning of a candle, we all made a vow to protect harry and guide him on his way (im not sure on the religious meaning for it)

After the service we all made our way to the local pub.
I forgot to get a photo of the inside *slap on the wrist* but it was all old worldly, I loved it but it was such a beautiful hot day everyone gravitated to the garden out back.

Harry's cake & sweet trees before the buffet came out.

Harry's amazing cake.

Godmother gift from Harry (my sister)

My handsome boyfriend and myself.

Lauren & myself.

My cute gramps.

Nanny, Auntie, Uncle & Cousins.

Granddad doing his duties.

Mine & my sisters godparents (They came all the way from down south bless them)

My sister & the back of her boyfriend (you can just see her pulling a crazy face)
I had such a great day, it couldn't have being more beautiful.
My nephew was an angel and seemed to have enjoyed his special day!

Nephews christening: Sweet Trees.

My sister & myself decided to do some sweet trees for my nephews christening.
I found them on pinterest one day & Clo said she'd love some so I got searching for the materials & found a kit with two of everything I needed on Amazon for only £12.00.

I was really impressed with what I got, Every step had instructions on how to do it.
It was all really good quality as well.
what you get: 2 polystyrene balls
2 wooden sticks
2 metal plant pots
plaster
plastic cup for measuring out the plaster
food bags for mixing the plater.
Two instruction booklets

We decided to do one with wrapped sweets and one with chocolate, just so we could have a go really.
There's only a few pictures of what we did as some of it was messy and my nephew was awake as we did it so he needed entertaining too.

First we lined the metal plant pots with cling film, we then mixed the plaster, two cups of plater to one cup water. we then poor it into the pots three quarters high and placed he sticks in the middle, hold them until they stood on there own and then until the plaster was set.

Trim the excess cling film off.

Make a hole slightly smaller then the thickness of the poll so its tight and slot the ball onto it.

For some reason I didn't take a picture of us putting the toffees on but heres the drumsticks (we ended up buying some more because we felt like it needed more to fill it out)
we needed to make small holes to help them go in easier.

We then melted the chocolate to paint on the second ball so we could stick buttons and mini marshmallows on.

At first we were using a tea spoon to put the chocolate on but it was really messy that way so we found a clean brush and it went on a lot better.
We used giant buttons slightly over lapping each other and we did lines alternating the pink & white mini marshmallows.
It wasn't the easiest of things, it got very messy and girls being girls we couldn't resist eating some of the chocolate.

My nephew also enjoyed eating the chocolate, it started with a little amount and ended up all over his face and him!!
We also got very hyper and got the giggles, which didn't help with the melted chocolate situation ... we got covered in it.

... And heres the finished results, we decorated the polls with ribbon and the pots with bows.
We filled the one with chocolate on's base with Maltesers.

We were sooooo impressed with our selfs!!

I'm going to be taking lots of pictures of the christening so keep an eye out for that blog post
