My life just changed.

SHE'S HERE!

I had my beautiful little girl on 20th February 2015, She's called Ayla Darcy Wallis weighing an amazing 7lbs 14oz, she has 10 fingers and 10 toes and every things working perfectly ;)

If you read my last pregnancy update you will have seen that there was talk of me having a C-section, Well I did, My consultant decided the rotation in my hip was to restricted & it was for the best.
I wont be going into deep detail about the operation (but if you do want to know leave a comment) What I will say is I was pleasantly surprised, I expected it to be a very different experience but I strangely enjoyed myself, Yes I said enjoyed!
From waking up at 5 in the morning to walking down to the operating theatre it was a very enjoyable and relaxing experience and I have to put it all down to my amazing partner for being so calm and collected and the fabulous hospital staff who made me feel comfortable and looked after though out the entire operation.
I sound like a crazy woman, I was having major abdominal surgery and enjoyed it, Even being able to feel everything that was happening, obviously I couldn't feel pain but with an epidural you can still feel a tingling sensation when they touch your skin.
Ill never forget feeling and hearing the pop of her coming out, her little cry and watching my partner hold her for the first time, it'll stay with me forever!

She's 17 days old and I don't even know I've got her, yes that's right she's perfect and I'm not just saying that! She sleeps most of the time, makes a little squeak when she's hungry, takes her bottle perfectly and does an almighty burp every time, sometimes I don't even have to do anything but sit her up and she burps. She wakes once at about 3 or 4 during the night for a feed and goes straight back to sleep after.
I feel like I'm dreaming!
I'm so sorry if this isn't what you want to hear but its the truth ;)

I feel so blessed at the minute, I have an amazing partner who has stepped into the father role like a glove and a beautiful little girl who just amazes me. My family and friends have being there for me every step of the way! I'm on cloud 9 right now and no way am I ever coming down, things can only get better, right?

Mama et Bebe Messenger: First Impressions.

When I started buying things for baby and myself I knew straight away were I was buying my changing bag from. Pink Lining is a company that has gone from being a small business starting in a basement to a must have brand, stocked in Harrods and featured in Vogue now selling rapidly worldwide.
They have an array of beautiful changing bags and accessories, There known for there French themes and colourful patterns.

After looking at all there designs i decided to go for the mama et bebe messenger bag with the hydrangea pattern. I just love this bag, the outside of the bag has two canvas pockets with the mama et bebe slogan and a sown on pram embellishment. The bag comes with an adjustable shoulder strap That is long enough to fit over the pram handle bars.

The inside has the trade mark shocking 'Pink Lining' 2x insulated bottle holders, 2x nappy pockets, pen holder, key fob, mirror, phone pocket, small zip pocket, padded changing mat and wet zip bag with the famous 'Yummy Mummy' writing and cupcake on.

Its very spacious and reminds me of Mary poppin's bag, which Is fabulous, I didn't want a big hefty bag to cart around with me.
All in all I love this bag and would recommend anyone to go have a look at all the other styles they do, I can guarantee you'll fall in love like I did.

This bag retails at £79.00.

2015!

What does 2015 have in store for me?

For me 2015 is going to be like no other year iv ever had, ill be a mum.

This year is going to be a year of making the best out of everything and try be the happiest I can be, I want to get out and do more with my days so having my little girl is already a step towards that because I can go out for walks and go to baby classes with her.

I feel like in 2014 I finally got my anxiety at a level were this year I could be more daring and do more things that would never have happened last year. I'd love to plan a holiday, im not thinking anything exotic just a simple English getaway, for me going away from home was almost impossible so it would be a big achievement for me.

I tend to dwell on things, A LOT, so im not going to let things get to me as much as I normally do.
I worry about the smallest of things which can be a good thing but sometimes its pointless things so id like to work on that too.

Everyone seems to be doing this but im trying to eat more healthy, I never really ate bad but I rarely got my 5 a day, iv being making smoothies and milkshakes to get more fruit into my diet and having more fresh meals then sticking something pre made in the oven. I'm really hoping I can stick to it, im not going to cut out takeaways totally because sometimes I do enjoy a good kebab.
I might even try doing some exercise but im not going to hold myself to that one.

Let me know what 2015 has in store you and what achievements your setting yourself? id love to know.

My pregnancy story: Second Trimester.

ITS A GIRL!!!

Sooooo my second trimester has GONE and did it fly!

Its being a lot of a smoother ride then my first trimester, the sickness has finally subsided, I cant tell you how happy I am about that. I'm not half as exhausted as I was, I don't feel the need to have a nap in the middle of the day any more which is a relief, I feel like I can finally go places without getting super tired. I'm still eating as much I was, if not more!

So what's new ...

Pain:
I have problems with my right hip as it is, I was born with CDH (congenital dislocation of the hip) basically I had no head of femur and I had several operations to reconstruct it, Iv had discomfort in my hips all my life so I kind of expected it to cause me problems during my pregnancy, just not as much as it has.
My left hip has obviously being taking the brunt of it all and its causing me more pain then the right, so not only does my right hip hurt my left hip hurts more so walking is very difficult. My sleep has really being affected by it, trying to relax is impossible.
I'm relieved that iv only got a little bump, the extra weight obviously isn't good for me so im dreading getting even bigger. I'm going to start physiotherapy this week to help ease the pain.

C-section:
Due to my hip iv being advised to have an elective c-section, The consultant was worried about the amount of movement I have in my hip, During delivery you need to bring your legs quite far back and he was worried id struggle and it would cause complications during the birth.
At the time I got very emotional and said id like try to have a natural birth so he said we'd see how the physiotherapy helped and go from there.
Now iv had time to think about it, im going to go for it, its the best thing for me and my baby, id hate to think my selfishness of wanting to have a natural birth could harm either of us.
I'm devastated ill not experience giving birth but its more important to have a happy healthy baby.

Movement:
She's a little wriggler, I feel like iv got an octopus in my belly. she's more active on a night, which is just great as I struggle to sleep as it it, I get kicked elbowed and punched from every angle, I cant say I don't love it though. This week iv being seeing my belly wobble from the kicks so im waiting to see a hand or foot pushing against my belly, I don't think it'll be long.

My second scan:

My second scan went really well, she's still measuring correct so my due date it still 27th February 2015
She has 2 arms, 2 legs (Not 8 tentacles, so its definitely not an octopus) & all her fingers and toes so that's good ;D All her organs are functioning well, so she's growing perfectly.
We decided to find out the sex, I'm too impatient and would have died not knowing, Were having a little girl.
Craig wasn't surprised, he was convinced we were from the start.
I'm so sad were not having another scan, I love watching her wriggling around, moving her arms and legs and watching her heart beat, its magical!

If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment.

My Pregnancy Story: First 14 Weeks.

!!! I'M PREGNANT !!!

I'm wanting to document my pregnancy so I can look back on it in the future & if I ever have more children I can compare them & see what's different or the same.
If my posts do help anyone then that's a bonus I suppose.

Since iv kept it quit until now I wanted to do a little recap of my first trimester.
I found out at about 3-4 weeks, I took a Clear Blue test which gives you a rough estimate of how far you are.
What can I say, its being a roller coaster, My pregnancy so far has being to the book, every symptom your "suppose" to get iv had.

Tiredness:
This was the first symptom I experienced, even before I knew, I just thought I was coming down with something. Iv never experienced exhaustion like it, Once it hit I literally dropped. There was nothing I could do about it, on my days off I took naps but I always seemed to start getting sleepy at around 7 pm.

Sickness:
Its normally known as morning sickness but for me it was daily sickness!
I started getting it at around 5-6 weeks and my god did it hit me.
Id wake up and instantly feel it. It started easing at around 9-10 weeks and it would let me have a day off, How very kind of it :D
My gagging reflex also heightened, Strong smells would make me feel really nauseous, The TV programme Big brother set me off once, they had to eat really vile things and I literally had to run upstairs to be sick.

Appetite:
I LLOOVVEE Food and loosing my appetite was devastating.
I'm a tea addicted and the thought of cutting down because of caffeine filled me with sadness but I actually never wanting one!
I couldn't keep rich foods down very well, my sister made a lasagne one night for us and it tasted beautiful but 5 mouth full's in I had to run up to the toilet.
I only ever wanted to eat very bland foods and Pom Bears (a brand of crisp) were my beast friend along with jumbo dairy-lee dunker's and mash potato.

Cravings:
CHEESE !!!
Omg have I craved cheese, cheese and ham toasties, cheese & biscuits, cheese sandwiches, jacket potato with cheese and beans and most of all goats cheese and caramelised onions but OOOHHH NOOO I cant have goats cheese, Iv always loved it but because im not meant to eat it iv wanted it even more, same with smoked salmon and pate.

Mood swings:
If you ask my partner im moody all the time but I have noticed myself that iv being getting moody about small silly things and have to stop myself.
I'm also getting irritated with things really easily and iv had a little bit of paranoia which is a little odd for me.

Anxiety:
I suffer with it any way but since finding out its being heightened slightly, not for anything specific but in general. Big things and events always set it off and I think I can class this as a big thing.

Other not to pleasant things:
This could be quite TMI but im here to tell the truth.
Toilet issues, I haven't being regular for a while now, one day ill have loose stools and the next ill be constipated, its Soooo up and down!
Cramping, I had mild period type pains which are actually quite normal, its the uterus preparing for the baby and also stretching as the baby grows, its not being bad enough to cause any concern but if it had got worse I would have made and appointment with my GP. Even though it was only mild cramping it was still uncomfortable.

My first scan:
1st September 2014.
I was really excited yet nervous going into my scan. There was also a hint of scared, Your first scan is so important, its the scan that determines if your baby is growing correctly and is healthy, that didn't hit me until everyone was texting me before hand wishing me luck and reassuring me everything will be ok.
When I saw my baby on the monitor I suddenly felt pregnant, as silly as it sounds.
I shed a little tear.
It was a bizarre feeling, It was wriggling around, kicking, hiccuping & yawing, seeing that yet not feeling any of it going on in my belly was crazy! It took the midwife a few attempts to get a measurement because of all the wriggling.
I went into the scan thinking I was just over 12 weeks yet the baby was measuring at 14 weeks, Myself and my partner were so shocked.

My Due date is 27th February 2015.

Proud Auntie.

I'm the proud Auntie of Harry James Mews, Born 5.11.2013 weighing 7lbs 8oz.

I love being an Auntie, its one of the best feelings ever!

My sister is an amazing mum and im so proud of her, he wasn't an easy baby having colic from day one. she's coped amazingly, sometimes I don't know how she does it, he's a very demanding little boy sometime.

When my sister was pregnant I already loved him more then words could explain, its the most bizarre feeling considering all you could see was a belly and the odd kick.
When I first met/held him all this love just came flooding out of me.

I don't know if you can tell by my beaming grin and watery eyes it was one of the best days of my life.
He was this tiny bundle of joy, iv never seen such a more beautiful and content baby, he was perfect, His skin was silky soft and smelt amazing.

I love taking pictures so as you can imagine iv got QUITE a lot, iv selected a few of my favourites for you.
Here is his first few months.

He suddenly grew up and started getting a little personality. He also became a lot more cheeky.
and doing something different every time I saw him.

Now he's even cheekier, he picks up things really easily.
Iv taught him to blow raspberry's , say 'bah bah', he crawls (well drags him self around) If you hold him under his arms he'll do a kind of funny walk he can also hold him self up when standing up against something. He pulls the funniest of faces and is constantly smiling and giggling. Bath time is his favourite thing to do, hes defiantly a water bay. My sisters started giving him proper food to nibble on and he loves it, if were eating he watches us and look as if he wants to have what were having.

I'm so honoured to have being a witness to all this and Ill hopefully be there when he learns even more like walking and talking.

I love him with all my heart.

I hope you don't mind me sharing my gorgeous nephews life so far with you guys, im such a proud auntie and I love talking about him and showing people all the pictures Iv taken of him

Leave a comment I your a proud auntie.
