My life just changed.

SHE'S HERE!

I had my beautiful little girl on 20th February 2015, She's called Ayla Darcy Wallis weighing an amazing 7lbs 14oz, she has 10 fingers and 10 toes and every things working perfectly ;)

If you read my last pregnancy update you will have seen that there was talk of me having a C-section, Well I did, My consultant decided the rotation in my hip was to restricted & it was for the best.
I wont be going into deep detail about the operation (but if you do want to know leave a comment) What I will say is I was pleasantly surprised, I expected it to be a very different experience but I strangely enjoyed myself, Yes I said enjoyed!
From waking up at 5 in the morning to walking down to the operating theatre it was a very enjoyable and relaxing experience and I have to put it all down to my amazing partner for being so calm and collected and the fabulous hospital staff who made me feel comfortable and looked after though out the entire operation.
I sound like a crazy woman, I was having major abdominal surgery and enjoyed it, Even being able to feel everything that was happening, obviously I couldn't feel pain but with an epidural you can still feel a tingling sensation when they touch your skin.
Ill never forget feeling and hearing the pop of her coming out, her little cry and watching my partner hold her for the first time, it'll stay with me forever!

She's 17 days old and I don't even know I've got her, yes that's right she's perfect and I'm not just saying that! She sleeps most of the time, makes a little squeak when she's hungry, takes her bottle perfectly and does an almighty burp every time, sometimes I don't even have to do anything but sit her up and she burps. She wakes once at about 3 or 4 during the night for a feed and goes straight back to sleep after.
I feel like I'm dreaming!
I'm so sorry if this isn't what you want to hear but its the truth ;)

I feel so blessed at the minute, I have an amazing partner who has stepped into the father role like a glove and a beautiful little girl who just amazes me. My family and friends have being there for me every step of the way! I'm on cloud 9 right now and no way am I ever coming down, things can only get better, right?

My A/W Fashion Must Haves.

A/W Pregnancy Fashion.

Ill Be pregnant during Autumn & Winter so im going to want to be comfy and cosy.

I live in jeans any way so they'll be a staple piece in my wardrobe, Iv bought a pair of maternity ones from H&M for only £14.99 & there soooo comfy.

I think ill just stick to plain maternity tops with over size cardigans and jumpers its simple and It'll keep me warm.

Big warm knitted scarves will add  texture to any outfit, I really love snoods because there easy to slip on and you don't have yards of material to wrap around yourself.

Ill probably get cankles so comfy shoes are a must and I just love my UGG's so ill probibly live in them, I may even need to buy a new pair ;)

I hope this also gave you some inspiration for A/W, even if your not pregnant this outfit would look fabulous.

My Pregnancy Story | Pregnancy Hair.

Its a well known fact that during pregnancy your hair feels like its getting thicker & longer but what is actually happening is your just not loosing it as fast. The higher levels of Estrogen your body is producing prolongs the growing period your hair goes through.
The down side to all this is your post-partum hair may not be so long and thick, after giving birth your hair growth cycle goes back to how it was before your pregnancy.

During my pregnancy im going to look after my hair as well as I can so when my hair does decide to all fall out the hair left will still be long, thick, healthy and strong. The only other option would to keep having babies but im not keen on that idea just yet.

My Plan-

Keeping my hair nourished, seen as my hairs bleached its quite dry as it is, will help with growing by preventing any snapping or breakage.
Nourishing shampoo and conditioners, treatments and hair oils will help to keep the moisture in.

Using less heat, im pretty good at keeping my hair away from heat, I regularly leave my hair to dry naturally its straighteners that's my problem, my natural hair is neither straight or curly so leaving it in its natural state isn't an option. I'm rubbish at using heat protectors so im going to really try and remember to put it on every time I dry my hair or straighten it.

Using my 'tangle teezer' ALL the time, I do this any way so its not a hard task for me.

Regular hair cuts, This is difficult for me "But you work in a hairdressers" you may be saying but that's the reason, finding the time to have it done is hard and customers come first obviously so being able to fit it in the book is always hard. Iv being naughty a few times and trimmed the ends myself * DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME * I'm really going to try and find the time to have regular cuts.

Hopefully doing these few steps and having a little more patients in really trying to look after it more will help keeping it looking nice after the baby is here.

If anyone's got any more suggestions let me know in the comments.

Bump Time Capsule.

I was having one of my pinterest splurges when I came across bump casts.
My best friend is currently 36 weeks pregnant so I thought it would be the perfect time to do one for her, she's coming to the end of pregnancy so she's probably at her biggest (which isn't very big at all).
I text her straight away and she thought it was an amazing idea, I couldn't wait!
Things you'll need:
Plaster cloth,
Warm water,
An old cloth,
Cling film.

I searched for some 'distructions' as we call them in our house as we mainly destroy things because of them ;D I quickly scanned over them, just to get a vague idea of what to do.
I also put a apron on, it was deffinatly needed as it was a messy job!

We decided to use cling film for the whole area instead of oiling it up, We had a few giggles doing this and Alix pulled a corker 'I feel like a fish' my response was 'what kind of fish do you rap in cling film' :/

I started in the boob area as I wanted that to set first with it being a difficult are to mould, once it was dry I could sculpt the area a bit better.
It was weird touching another woman's boob area but as we both cleared up she did have a bra on and cling film covering them.

Action Shot.
It was such a weird feeling, the plaster cloth was very slimy once you'd wet it.

Once id done a couple of layers we let it dry for a little while (we left it for 10-15 mins).
It got solid very quickly.

Rough run down on what you need to do.
Cut the plaster into strips, place them into the warm water, place on the body and smooth over ... simples.

I'm glad we used cling film because it pooped of very easily, it was bizarre looking at Alix's bump on the floor! Alix got to see it properly without it being on her.

There wasn't as much mess as I thought there would be.

Alix is going to be doing a brief post on it too on her blog, to check hers out click here.
She has a fitness blog, she also does pregnancy updates and when baby's here shell be posting about him too, Go check her out!
