My Pregnancy Story | Pregnancy Hair.

Its a well known fact that during pregnancy your hair feels like its getting thicker & longer but what is actually happening is your just not loosing it as fast. The higher levels of Estrogen your body is producing prolongs the growing period your hair goes through.
The down side to all this is your post-partum hair may not be so long and thick, after giving birth your hair growth cycle goes back to how it was before your pregnancy.

During my pregnancy im going to look after my hair as well as I can so when my hair does decide to all fall out the hair left will still be long, thick, healthy and strong. The only other option would to keep having babies but im not keen on that idea just yet.

My Plan-

Keeping my hair nourished, seen as my hairs bleached its quite dry as it is, will help with growing by preventing any snapping or breakage.
Nourishing shampoo and conditioners, treatments and hair oils will help to keep the moisture in.

Using less heat, im pretty good at keeping my hair away from heat, I regularly leave my hair to dry naturally its straighteners that's my problem, my natural hair is neither straight or curly so leaving it in its natural state isn't an option. I'm rubbish at using heat protectors so im going to really try and remember to put it on every time I dry my hair or straighten it.

Using my 'tangle teezer' ALL the time, I do this any way so its not a hard task for me.

Regular hair cuts, This is difficult for me "But you work in a hairdressers" you may be saying but that's the reason, finding the time to have it done is hard and customers come first obviously so being able to fit it in the book is always hard. Iv being naughty a few times and trimmed the ends myself * DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME * I'm really going to try and find the time to have regular cuts.

Hopefully doing these few steps and having a little more patients in really trying to look after it more will help keeping it looking nice after the baby is here.

If anyone's got any more suggestions let me know in the comments.

Halo/Milkmaid Braid

Every ones being going crazy for the halo/milkmaid braid lately so thought id do a tutorial for those of you who aren't too sure on how its done. Its so simple!

What you'll need - Tail comb
Clear bands
Grips / Bobby pins

Lets get started ...

First, part the hair down your parting and all the way down the back.

Create some volume on the crown area, it doesn't have to be neat.

Do two plaits either side, making it looser at the top so it will lift nicely, secure with clear bands. Pull the plait to make it fatter and a little messier, leave some hair out around your face (you don't have to do the last steps if you want it neat).

Lift the plait up and over the top of your head, place it were its comfortable and were you think it looks right.
Pin in place.

Leave some strands of hair out & Pin any bits away you want.
You can tweak yours to how ever you think looks best.

... I told you it was simple!

Its a great style that looks difficult but very simple to do.

'School is a place of learning not a fashion show ..... said no student ever!!'

School Hair.

'School is a place of learning not a fashion show ..... said no student ever!!'

Image is everything to teenagers but school starts so early you don't have enough time to do a super amazing up do. Here's a quick, easy and fashionable hair style that will be perfect for school.

Comb the hair with a TangleTeezer (or any brush of your choice).
Slick your hair back into a low pony tail in the nape of the neck, use the comb and spray together to get a smooth finish.
You can either make a plait and wrap it around the bobble to disguise it and pin in place or use a hair accessory, im loving bows at the minute.
I know I joked about it but school isn't a fashion show, keep it simple with this style and it'll be a winner!

Spring/Summer 'MUST DO' Hair Styles 2014.

Hair Must's For spring/Summer 2014.

Plaits.
when people think of plaits they think 'little girls' but if you do them right it can look very chic or boho.

Classic plait, This look is effortless but looks like you've done something with your hair, this is a three strand plait but if your adventurous you could try more strands or even a fishtail braid ( if you'd like tutorials on any of these styles then let me know in the comments and ill do one, didn't want this post to be too wordy)
I love this plait because of the ombre hair colour.
I think it looks best messed up a little, run your hand up the plait and pull out the sides.

Simple side plait, You can do this plait by taking a section from the front & plaiting it or you can braid it across the front & carry it on round, if your able to you can make it a waterfall braid. make it loose and messy to get a boho lived in look.

Some people call this a milk maid braid some call it a halo braid, call it what ever you want.
This is a very easy style but it looks very complicated.
Make two pig tail plaits either side, make it looser at the top, lift the plait up & over your head and pin in place, pull the sides out to make the plait fatter ... & its as simple as that !!

Messy buns.
The whole point in a messy bun is its got to be messy, I need to remember this, I'm too much of a perfectionist.
This is my signature look, if I cant be bothered to do my hair then this is what i do, my boyfriend calls it my 'emergency bun' :D

High Bun, Place hair in a high messy pony tail, back comb the hair to get some body and wrap the hair round, grip into place ... simples! its the perfect look for lazy days.

Low Bun, Slick hair back into a low pony tail, back comb the hair to create body, twist the hair round the bobble securing in place, keep it as loose as possible but still secure. This look is perfect for a day out shopping or lunch with friends, it looks sophisticated whilst effortless.

Ponytails.
This a very VERY easy style to achieve.

Low Pony, This style looks good with hight on top, its very 60's looking.
Keep the hight more at the crown, take the pony low in the nape.

High Pony, I love this look when iv had my hair curly the day before and I don't want it down again, the pony needs to be just above the crown, make the pony tail big and bouncy, its a effortless look, it also keep all your hair out the way for when the weather gets hot.

Like I said, if you'd like any in depth tutorials on any of these looks just let me know in the comments :)
