L.A.B2 'I'm turning pro' Brush set.

 

I love makeup brushes, I probably have too many! So when I got some more in the #HBMarchMeet I was overjoyed.

I've already got some L.A.B2 brushes and I love them so I already knew id love these ones too.

 

 We received the 'I'm turning pro' set which is a more high quality set made with fibre luxe technology.

 

 

The set contains 4 high quality brushes; Foundation brush, buffing brush, contour brush, eye shadow brush. they have black handles with a soft touch finish for comfort and control. the brush its self is super soft and picks up just enough product.

 

 

Foundation Brush:

Provides a streak free coverage, perfect for liquid foundation or concealer.

 

 

Contour Brush:

Slightly angled to give perfect precision when sculpting the face, perfect for powder contouring.

 

 

Eye Shadow Brush: 

Blends shadow evenly, picks up enough product and fluffy enough to blend the edges.

 

Buffing Brush:

Buffs in product, softens lines and gives an airbrush finish.

 

I'm loving using these brushes, there made to a very high standard and they apply my make up perfectly. what more do you want!

To false nail or not to false nail ?

I've only recently really been keeping on top of my nails after receiving the sensationail gel lamp so when I got some false nails in my #HBMarchMeet goodie bag I was rather excited! 

I've always had bad experiences with false nails as I'm very heavy handed so I was very looking forward to trying these.

We got three pairs, House of Holland by Elegant Touch (La Croix), Nailene & Elegant touch (Polished, Power trip)

I've currently got the Elegant Touch ones on and so far they've lasted me 4 days, 3 nights sleep and a night out! there's no signs of them budging yet either. how amazing is that.

There so beautiful, there pale pink with gold flecks, not too long and an almond shape.

they came with a great selection of sizes, even sizes small enough to fit my nails.

 I cant wait to try the others and to see if there just as good, I'm certainly going to be buying more because they took not time at all to put on and have lasted a great amount of time.

Kiko | Campus Idol collection.

 

I was lucky to receive a few bits from the new Kiko campus idol collection at the #HBMarchMeet. I've been wanting to try Kiko for a while but I've never got around to it so I was overjoyed to see them in the goodie bag. The campus idol collection is a vibrant range with old school American college style packaging. I love the colours, they're eye catching and brighten up my makeup bag!

 

 Double Match liner and lipstick duo-

Oh my these are so soft, I got it in the colour cool rose and its the perfect nude.

I've been wearing this colour to death and I love it, it lasts all day with it having a liner, I just have to top the lipstick up at the end of the day if I need to. 

 

 

 

Urban sheen lip colour-

This is a lip gloss which is really buildable so if you just want a wash of colour apply one coat but for a more bold lip just apply a few more coats.

This is in the colour Glamour Magnolia.

 

 

Pump It Up mascara-

Amazing! I cant go anywhere without mascara on and iv tried A LOT and iv got to say, this is incredible. I've always loved Benefits They're Real but could never justify the price, this is a perfect dupe, even the applicator acts the same way with the spikey end to add extra volume.

 

 

Large face brush-

This feels incredibly soft, I use it to apply my powder and it does its job. The colour is just fab, it sits right up the with my real technique brushes, amazing quality!

EVENT | Hull Bloggers summer meet up 2015.

Firstly id like to apologise for me been MIA these past couple of weeks, Lots of things have accumulated to my lack of blogging, But its finally here, the very exciting #HBAlPorto Summer Meet post!

If you follow me on Twitter you'll have seen I was very excited about this event and in actual fact I won a prize for been the most excited blogger on Twitter.

I won two Twig + Dot candles which smell divine.

I was so excited to see my #HullBloogers and to welcome some new ones into our group, there a great bunch! The Event was at Al Porto, A newly refurbished Italian restaurant on hull marina.

After having a chat and our own #HullBloggers cocktail we had the chance to go talk to some of the stall holders about there products, Lush, Weleda & Viridian were all there and it was nice to talk to each of them about there brands. I was lucky enough to get a hand ex-foliation and massage from lush. Each of them gave us a goodie bag which was very kind of them. (reviews coming soon)

Al Porto staff brought round canapés which were delicious. 

A raffle was held to raise money for The Eve Appeal, The Eve Appeal is a registered charity, formed in 2002 who work hard to raise money to fund the research of Women's Cancer, We raised over £200 for them, which is just amazing!!!

I won a few bits,

We also received three bags full of products and we had to bring our own bag to fill. (which will be in a separate post) We were all over whelmed at the amount of things we were given and so great full for it all.

We also got the #HBAlPorto trending on twitter, WOOOOOW!!

AND BREATH ... Thats a long one!

Id like to thank Alex, Kat & Jenny on organising an amazing event and getting all those amazing brands to send us products. We are all truly grateful for your hard work and I hope we have another event very soon.

My Summer Makeup Essentials.

 On summer days I tend to wear a minimal amount of make up.

For base I wear a light foundation and a soft pink blush. I get freckles when iv got a tan so I don't want to cover them up.

On my eyes I wear a nude primer to even out my skin tone and cover any veins. A wash of colour over the lid and in the water line I use a nude eye liner to open up the eye with Lots of mascara, I cant live without it!

I tend to use lip gloss rather then lipstick, usually a nude or pinky one.

On a night I apply a little more foundation and swap the wash of colour for a bronze smoky eye and black eye liner smudged along the lash line.

Valentines Gift Guide: For him.

Ok Girls, its that time of year again were we struggle to think of gifts to buy our partner for valentines day, if you don't struggle, lucky you!
Valentines day is all about love and romance but there's not a lot out there for men that fits that description.
I tend to but smelly's or chocolates and if im really struggling then ill buy a gift voucher.
Luckily men don't tend to be as sensitive as us women and would probably be happy with just a card but if they've gone out there way to  buy you something special there's no worse feeling if you've put no effort in.

Valentines Gift Guide: For her.

Whether you like it or not, valentines day is just around the corner and unless you and your partner have made a deal not to buy each other anything then you may be racking your brain on what to get her. Don't go crazy, think small and luxurious.

Valentines day is all about love and romance so try think about that when buying your gifts, chocolates, champagne and flowers are always a good start and then if you'd like to splash out a little more, jewellery is always a good bet.

Its not about how much you spend, its the thought that counts!
